Navvis Invests with Florida Medical Clinic to Form HealthSync

St. Louis, MO and Tampa, FL, Nov. 12, 2019 – Expanding its Florida market presence, Navvis today announced a controlling investment in a joint venture with Florida Medical Clinic, an industry leader in value-based healthcare with 350 providers, 150,000 patients, and value-based contracts across all lines of business. Providing services to the Florida Medical Clinic and other healthcare organizations across Florida, this joint venture will be called HealthSync.

The investment in HealthSync will expand and scale Florida Medical Clinic’s experience in population health capabilities to providers across the state of Florida. These services create new opportunities for ACOs, IPAs, CINs, MSOs, employed physicians, health plans, and health systems to deliver high-quality care to their patients and capitalize on successful value-based care performance. Navvis and Florida Medical Clinic will be offering HealthSync services to additional markets in the future.

With rapid increases in Medicare Advantage enrollment, expansion in commercial and Medicare ACOs, and growth in managed Medicaid contracts, the Florida market represents significant value-based care opportunities for providers. These opportunities all require integrated population health management capabilities that effectively support physicians, connect a care ecosystem, and ensure timely, personalized healthcare delivery. Through this acquisition, HealthSync will bring an integrated solution to provide these services and ubiquitously serve all payers and lines of business.

“Empowering physicians with new capabilities and resources to better care for their patients is the single most important success factor in population health,” said Nicole Bradberry, founder, and chief executive officer of the Florida Association of ACOs (FLAACOs). “Both Navvis and Florida Medical Clinic are uniquely qualified to support physicians and their patients to drive meaningful change.”

“We have an opportunity to create a connected, integrated, and unfragmented healthcare market, which will create a system that never stops caring for people. Our vision is to be a catalyst for healthcare transformation and shared action, market by market and across the nation,” said Mike Farris chairman and chief executive officer of Navvis. “We chose to partner with Florida Medical Clinic by way of this investment because of their sense of purpose to have a true impact on the lives of those they serve. Together we will scale an all-payer, all-provider solution that will enable providers in the Florida market to become a high performing and deliver an innovative care experience to their patients.”

“We have been striving to improve the health and well-being of the people in Florida and have specialized on a holistic model of care,” said Joe Delatorre, chairman, and chief executive officer of Florida Medical Clinic. “Navvis brings the strategy, operational expertise, and scalability to enable us to support more providers and their patients across Florida, and beyond. Our solution will help providers improve performance, deliver better care to patients, and create value for their payer partners. This is an exciting time for healthcare transformation in Florida, and one that can change the lives of the people we care for.”

HealthSync was featured at the annual FLAACOs conference on November 7, 2019 in Orlando, Florida. Executives from Navvis and Florida Medical Clinic discussed the opportunities of this innovative model as the two companies collaborate with health plans, health systems, and other healthcare organizations that are caring for patients and managing risk in the Florida market.
